Raid Expectations
Raid Schedule, Sign-Ups and Expectations Raid Schedule
1. The raid schedule is updated weekly in the in game calendar , usually on Monday. 2. Raid sign-ups occur in-game via the in game calendar. 3. Raiders are expected to sign up at least 24 hours in advance of a scheduled raid, and will receive 500 Bonus EP on raid day for doing so (if I happen to forget to lock sign ups 24 hours before the raid late sign ups do not get points regardless). Raiders who sign-up and subsequently no-show (without providing a valid reason ) will be penalized -1000 EP. Please understand, when you sign-up for a raid, you are making a commitment to be available when you say you will be available you will also be less likely to be taken to future raids. If we know in advance that you may not be able to make a particular raid, then we can recruit or Pug to fill your spot. However, if you sign-up for a raid you know you may not be able to attend, simply to guarantee your place, then you are gambling with everyone's playtime. This is disrespectful to your fellow guild members and counter-productive to progression. If you know that you may not be able to raid but would still like to be considered for a spot in the event that you are sign up as tentative.
Characters raiding progression content should be in item LVL 219 to 245 (there are some but few exceptions) at this point of content .The quality of your gear and skill will determine the lvl of raid you are qualified for. You must remember raiding is PVE not PVP have the best available PVE enchants available to you. While we reserve the right to set minimum standards required to raid, at this point as content and gear availability changes rapidly. http://www.wow-heroes.com/ Is a very good guide line. If you have any questions about how to use this site ask the GM or any Officer.
1. Be on-time. Invites begin 20 minutes prior to the raid's scheduled start time. If you are not in the zone you will not get an invite till you are and may lose your spot to the next person signed up or even on line. You are expected to be logged on to your main character, ungrouped, and either in or en route to the raid zone by 15 min prior to raid start time. You should not be in an Arena, Battle Ground, Heroic Instance or on an alt. We have been lax about this in the past, operating under the unspoken assumption that raid attendance should be less strict in a "casual" guild. However, because we are semi casual, many of our raiders have limited playtime and will have to leave on time regardless of whether or not the raid starts on time. If you are not on line by start time with out prior explanation you may lose your raid spot for the night. The 20 minutes that we spend dueling in a starting zone while five players finish their Daily Heroic could very well be the 20 minutes we need to down a new boss before 10 other people have to log off for the night. 2. Come prepared. While the Guild Bank will occasionally provide a limited number of raid consumables, it isn't something you should count on. The Guild Bank operates by donation and largely on the honor system, so its inventory changes from week-to-week, if not day-to-day. You are ultimately responsible for your own potions, flasks, elixirs, buff foods and any other consumables necessary to make sure that you are at the very top of your game. On the same token, you should be fully repaired and have enough gold on hand to repair mid-raid if the need arises. If your class utilizes reagents, you should have an ample supply of those as well.
4. Ask questions if you have them. If you have never seen a particular encounter, be sure to let the Raid Leader know. Ask questions if you have them, or request clarification on any points that might be confusing to you. We’d rather explain something three times in three different ways until it “clicks” than charge headfirst into a fight that we aren’t adequately prepared for. 5. Learn from your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, and no one is going to beat you up for yours; we just aren’t that type of guild. We just ask that you take any feedback or constructive criticism that is offered to you with an open mind, and refrain from making the same mistakes over and over again. (Yes, this includes me!) 6. Don’t engage in pre-raid PvP. It wastes everyone’s time and makes summoning a nightmare. Don't do it. (“But they started it!”) holds no water with me. Ghost-walk into the zone and let it go.
10. And above all, have fun! It’s why we’re here. ;)
